A Door of Utterance

WEEK OF TUESDAY, JULY 2nd TO MONDAY JULY 8th, 2024

A DOOR OF UTTERANCE.

 Text: Colossians 4:2-3. KJV.

“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds.” (KJV)

A DOOR OF UTTERANCE refers to the contact opportunity, to reach the world with the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. All the saints and God-loving people trust that God will open a door for the good news of salvation. Such doors may include receptive hearts and lost souls seeking the LORD for salvation. The Apostle Paul knows that only God can open such doors. In Rev. 3:7 the Bible says that God is “He that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth.” We must pray for God to open doors for the gospel of salvation in all nations.

TO SPEAK THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST: The mystery of Jesus Christ needs the intervention of God to open doors for the man of God to speak the powerful word of God. The world needs to hear the good news of God’s salvation in Jesus Christ. The darkness and prevailing sin have closed the door to many to hear the word of God. The revelation of the mysteries of the Kingdom of God is for those who are being saved. They need to know Jesus Christ; know about heaven and the Church; the restoration of new life; and the consequences of sin. Know the incarnate God in Christ upon the earth. We pray that God will open doors for the utterance of the gospel of Christ.

Testimony: Saints in Christ Jesus are called upon to be a witness for Jesus Christ. Matt. 28:18-20.

Verse of the Week: 2 Timothy 4:2. KJV.

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”

Application: With a Bible verse tell someone of the goodness of God in your life or family.
