FAITH AN INSTRUMENT OF VICTORY

FAITH AN INSTRUMENT OF VICTORY

Romans 8:37. KJV

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”

AN INSTRUMENT refers to a tool mostly used to work. An instrument could be one, singular, or more than one, plural. An instrument could be a thing, a person, or an act, say a drama for learning. In Acts 9:15, the LORD referred to Saul, who became an Apostle, as an instrument/vessel to bring His name to the Gentiles, and their Kings, and before the people of Israel. Faith is an instrument of victory over darkness, bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who will believe in Him as their personal Savior from sin.

Faith is the God given instrument that lays hold of the victorious finished work of Jesus Christ. Faith is not a human endeavor, faith is not by human strength, and faith is super-divine. It is through faith that suffering becomes a triumphant platform, and opposition provides an opportunity for divine power, and weakness becomes an opportunity for grace. For this reason, victory is assured because faith rests in the completed work of Christ, not our circumstances. Faith is excited by challenges, and faith overcomes challenges by trusting in the eternal promises of God. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Herews 11:6. KJV

May our faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ, always be our instrument of victory because:

  • Faith is completely, dependently trusting the love of Jesus Christ. Romans 8:35
  • Faith is the overcomer of the world. Faith is victoriously overcoming. 1 John 5:4.
  • Faith by the Spirit of God speaks victory. Faith is not shy to speak truth. 2 Cor. 4:13.
  • Faith has the divine spiritual muscle ability to endure trials. James 1:3.
  • Faith has the biblical ability to receive God’s almighty promise fulfilled. Heb 11:6.

Through time and space: Children of God in Christ Jesus continue to testify of the gospel of salvation in Christ. Their faith in the Lord continues to provide the fulfilment of God’s promise despite persecution, illness, and loss, yet they stand firm in Christ alone. Their faith remaining active is a testament to the fact that Jesus Christ still empowers victorious living and triumph through God’s love.
