YOUR DESIRE IS IMPORTANT

YOUR DESIRE IS IMPORTANT

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19. KJV

Desire is a very strong feeling that consumes many hearts, souls, minds, and strength to want or wish to have something. It is the strong feeling of desire that drives many dreams, visions, goals, plans, projects, purpose, and historical events. According to the Dictionary of Oxford language desire is defined as “A strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen.”

Here is a possible shot list of the desires of almost everyone and nations:

  1. We desire peace and security.
  2. We desire economic prosperity
  3. We desire justice and good governance.
  4. We desire health and well-being
  5. We desire identity, purpose, and hope in life

OUR DESIRES SHALL COME

The word of God is clear that indeed we have legitimate desires. The Bible confirms that mankind is not strong enough. Mankind is weak, and this opens the door to the truth of life. The truth of life is that God is more than able to provide all our needs in life. God has promised that our desire is coming.

SOME BIBLICAL FACTS:

  1. There is a universal desire in every human heart, soul, mind, and strength: “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain” (Romans 8:22)
  2. There is a universal promise to everyone: “And the desire of all nations shall come; and I will fill this house with my glory, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Haggai 2:7) KJV
  3. There is a universal owner and provider of all we need: “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than the former, saith the LORD of hosts; and in this place I will give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Haggai 2:8-9) KJV
